Welcome my little neophyte! You have chosen to be an apprentice of Sindarin, by way of this online book. But before you can have any fun, you must start at the bottom as we all did. Your Sindarin Textbook is split into two parts, this being the first. The focus of this part is to hammer in the basics and show how everything is connected to the other. For example: the pronunciation you will learn in the first chapter is still relevant in Chapter Six. Because of the way that everything depends on everything else, it is extremely important to take this first part slowly. Take as much time as you need to move from lesson to lesson. If you rush and miss something, you'll find yourself relearning earlier lessons. To help you, I won't let you move onto the next lesson until every single question in the homework is answered correctly. Once you have passed the final exam, I will consider you a journeyman. You will understand the rules and inner workings of Sindarin enough to start doing your own translations, but don't miss the aesthetic part of Sindarin, which will be studied in Part II.
