These questions are the most difficult, simply because there's no way to tell they are questions without the question mark.

The Question

When we write a yes/no question in Sindarin, simply write a normal statement and add a question mark.

Example

Are the leaves green in Lothlórien? (Literally: The leaves are green in Lothlórien?)
I laiss celin mi Lothlórien?
Did the soldier betray us? (Literally: The soldier betrayed us?)
I naug ven gweriant?

The Answer

This is the part a lot of people have trouble with because the words "yes" and "no" do not exist in Sindarin. When answering this question "yes", you simply repeat the question with first person pronouns switching with the second person pronouns, getting rid of the question mark. When answering this question "no", simply repeat the question using the opposite negation.

Another way to go about this would be "I did" or "I didn't".

Example

Did you kill my father? (Literally: You killed my father?)
Ennengig i adaren?
Yes. (Literally: I killed your father.)
Ennengin i adareg.
Yes. (Literally: I did.)
Agoren.
No. (Literally: I didn't kill your father.)
Ú-ennengin i adareg.
No. (Literally: I didn't.)
Ú-agoren.
