We will cover something that is fairly simple but often forgotten. That something is the order of modifiers and what they modify.

Unlike English, Sindarin modifiers most often go after what they modify.

First the verb, then the adverb.*
Example: Gladho lim (to laugh quickly)

First the adverb, then the adjective.
Example: edregol moe (especially soft)

First the adverb that is doing the modifying, then adverb that is being modified.
Example: farn palan (far enough)

First the noun, then the adjective.*
Example: finn garan (red hair)

First the noun, then the possessive pronoun.*
Example: cair nīn (my ship)

*"Soft lenition" is used on the second word in these three combinations, and you will learn about lenition later.

When using adjectives in Sindarin, the adjectives become plural with the nouns they are describing.
