1240 To rid himself of all cares, Narmacil he appointed his nephew Minalcar (son of Calmacil) to be Regent in TA 1240.
1248 Minalcar defeats the Easterlings and destroys their settlements east of the Sea of Rhûn.
1250 Minalcar sends his son, Valacar, as an ambassador to dwell with Vidugavia, King of Rhovanion. Valacar subsequently married Vidumavi, daughter of Vidugavia.

1432 King Valacar of Gondor dies, and the civil war of the Kin-strife begins. ELDACAR, Twenty-first King of Gondor, b. TA 1255, d. TA 1490 He was born in Rhovanion, his birth name was Vinitharya. The Kingship of Eldacar is rejected by many of the people of Gondor. He is considered a half-breed as his mother was not of the Dûedain and he was born in Rhovanion. 1437 After five years, the rebels, led by Castamir (a grandson of Calimehtar, brother of Róendacil II Minalcar) beseige him in Osgiliath. 1630 Around this time Stoors from Dunland migrate north to the Shire.

1634 Minardil is slain when the Corsairs of Umbar, led by Angomaitëand Sangahyando (great-grandsons of Castamir) ravage Pelargir. Upon taking the throne, Telemnar immediately begins fitting out a fleet to destroy Umbar - but the Plague ends his plans. TELEMNAR, Twenty-sixth King of Gondor, b. TA 1516, d. TA 1636
1636 The Plague began in Rhovanion in the winter of 1635. Half the people and horses of Rhovanion perished. In Gondor, many people perish, especially in the cities. Calenardhon is significantly depopulated. Telemnar and all his children die. He was succeded by his nephew Tarondor, the son of Minastan, the second son of Minardil. 1640 King Tarondor removes the King's House from Osgiliath to Minas Anor, and plants a seedling of the White Tree. Osgiliath begins to fall into ruin. Mordor is left unguarded.

NARMACIL II, 29th King of Gondor, b. TA 1784, d. TA 1856
1851 With assistance from Lindon and Imladris, Araval of Arthedain defeats Angmar. He seeks to reoccupy northern Cardolan, but evil wights terrify all who seek to dwell near. The attacks on Gondor by the Wainriders begin.
1856 Narmacil II leads an army north and meets the the Wainriders in battle on the plains south of Mirkwood. With him is an army of Northmen of Rhovanion led by Marhari (a descendant of Vidugavia). Narmacil is defeated, both he and Marhari fall. Gondor loses its eastern territories. Eastern and southern Rhovanion are enslaved by the Wainriders. Some Northmen flee north and merge with the people of Dale. Others, led by Marhwini (son of Marhari), settled in the Vale of the Anduin between the Carrock and the Gladden - this is the begining of the Éothéod. The Nazgû re-enter Mordor. Battle of the Plains

1938 Birth of ARANARTH
1940 Gondor and Arnor renew communications and form an alliance. Arvedui heir to the throne of Arthedain weds Firiel daughter of Ondoher of Gondor.
1944 The Wainriders reappear and attack Gondor in great numbers, they forge an alliance with men from Khand and the Near Harad. Gondor is thus assailed from the north and the south. Ondoher and both his sons fall in battle north of Morannon. The Wainriders pour into North Ithilien. However, Eänil, Captain of the Southern Army defeats the southern invaders in South Ithilien. He turns north, gathers up the remnants of the Nothern Army, and wins the Battle of the Camp, and drives Wainriders camped in North Ithilien into the Dead Marshes. 1975 Arvedui shipwrecked and drowned in the Bay of Forochel. The palantiri of Annuminas and Amon Sul are lost with him. Earnur son of King Earnil of Gondor brings a fleet to Lindon. Ehdellond is finally abandoned by the Elves.
Amroth, King of Lorien, is lost at sea and Nimrodel his beloved is lost. Mithrellas, a companion of Nimrodel is lost in the woods of Belfalas and is taken in by Imrazô, a Dunadan of the area. They wed, and Mithrellas bears a son (Galador) and a daughter (Gilmith). After a few years Mithrellas vanishes.
